On Thursday, September 29, 2016, the seminar "Advances in the cultivation of yellow kiwifruit under plastic cover" was organized in San Fernando, by C.Abud & Cía with the support of CORFO, Subsole and Alessandrini Group.
The main objective of this seminar was to present the results of the plastic cover in yellow kiwifruit orchards, mainly focused on post harvest fruit evaluation.
These results were presented by the C.Abud & Cía team, composed by Christian Abud, Managing Director, Jessica Saavedra, Director of the R + D + I department and Raimundo Cuevas, Technical Manager.
It was attended by specialists in the field, such as José Tomás Alvear, Technical Manager of Subsole; Company associated with the project, who talked about the technical updates to obtain a good quality kiwi.
On the other hand, Sylvana Soto, from the Institute of agricultural research (INIA) explained the progress in research for the control of PSA.
The day culminated in a tour to the demonstration plots located in the fields of C. Abud & Cía, in the area of Sagrada Familia, Curicó.
The event was attended by producers, advisors, exporters' representatives and industry professionals, sponsored by the Kiwi Committee and the SAG, and sponsored by companies such as Serroplast, AGQ, CDTEC, WiseConn, Mip Agro, Biocruz and Olive trees Irrigation.
