Boston University visits C. Abud & Co.
On Tuesday, March 7, 2017, she visited the offices of C. Abud & Co., Victoria Smith, Marisa Perri (Financial and Operations Manager, BU) and Csaba Pazmani, Students of the Boston University Executive MBA program.
The purpose of the visit was to publicize the problems affecting the national fruit growing in the course of Entrepreneurship and International Business, in order to prepare a business plan for a commercial opportunity in South America.
During the tour, topics related to climate change were discussed and how they affect the profitability of fruit projects, as well as commenting on strategies developed within the company to tackle climate change, from the use of irrigation and nutrition technologies until the use of plastic covers in kiwis and cherry trees.
The visit was guided by Sebastián Navarro, Agricultural Engineer of the Technical Area of C. Abud & Co., with whom they visited orchards of kiwis and cherry trees located in Sagrada Familia, VII Region.
